Cynthia R. Dill

I’ve no memory of drawing with my first breath, though Mom thought so. It is true that my Air Force family travelled to many places, including France and Alaska with greatly diverse exposures to art - joyful food for this budding artist. Now, what lights the painting fires for me is the play of color, pattern and design in nature, the tensions between natural and manmade structures or the play of emotions in a face while sharing their story. Since painting in Alaska this June… I dream and paint Alaska’s glaciers, mountains, breach of whales, cries of eagles and brilliant summer wildflowers. While I love studying exotic places, home has its own inspirations! Highland’s town center is a delightful mix of historic buildings, colorful signs, flowers and people walking about or meeting for coffee and conversation.
I’ve much to be thankful for in this exquisite web of life!
