My art is rooted in an ongoing exploration of process that traces movement through a practice that is both meditative and active. Its intricacy slows us and invites close engagement in a conversation that unfolds organically, with “mistakes” worked into the weave. This openness enables the work to surprise me, to shift direction, and to breathe.
Rachel Schwartz lives in Highland, NY where she has long worked in fine ink drawings and watercolors.
