Pam Krimsky

I love to draw as well as paint, My work falls into two categories, paintings from landscape done from direct observation and figure compositions from imagination. Until moving to the Hudson Valley, I chose not to exhibit. Since 2010, I have been showing regularly and am a signature member of the National Association of Women Artists and The Woodstock Artists Association and Museum.

Growing up in Brooklyn, Pam Krimsky met and married a fine Iranian painter she met at Queens College. After completing her Master's in Fine Arts in Painting, they moved to the Hudson Valley to paint landscape. Pam taught Art to K-12 and Art courses at Columbia-Greene Community College. She painted, but did not have time to exhibit.

Between 1991 and 2007, they moved to Iran. There, she continued painting and teaching, was very pleased to have a painting included in the 1993 Biennial Show at the Museum of Modern Art in Tehran and was one of two faculty hired to open a new Fine Art Department in a large university. She taught Drawing and Composition courses in Farsi.

In 2007, Pam moved back to the Hudson Valley alone and has been painting and exhibiting since.
