Amy Dooley

My ceramic work is rooted in a reverence for trees, plants, and the quiet intelligence of the natural world. I draw inspiration from the intricate textures of bark and foliage, translating their patterns into clay through carving, stretching, cracking, and layering. These processes mimic the organic forces of growth and weathering, allowing each piece to embody the tactile language of the forest. By echoing nature’s surfaces and forms, I invite a deeper connection to the living landscape that surrounds us.
